Im not just painting this to be cute (though I am), I do think the x-men in the Victorian ages could so work. Has anyone done that story yet? I know there's those crime noirs, and wolverine stories seem to be able to take place in whatever time and/or dimension. I mean the whole crew in fancy pants get up.
